SOST "Behind The Scenes" doc to play at Apple store in Chicago

T The Chicago Apple store will be playing "Series of Small Things: A Behind The Camera Look" as apart of the 'Made on a Mac' series 2. It will show at 6pm on November 18th. They will also be doing a Q&A with James Butler the editor of the doc. Checkout "Series of Small Things: A Behind The Camera Look."

James Butler, a Chicago native, is a registered Apple Certified Final Cut Pro Editor, whose background in editing harkens all the way back to his childhood years. While the tools have changed from the old Super8mm reel-winders to the current computer technology, the editing requirement has not changed; "to tell a good story". Currently, James is one of the partners of Post47. Post47 is a Chicago post house that offers alternative high-quality 3D imaging/modeling, 3D compositing, VFX and editing services without the “conveyor-belt” or extreme cost mentality.

As for working with Under the Influence, James notes the following, "Phil Donlon gave me only one directive, Be Honest in the Edit. Working with Phil to delve deep into the production to find the essential story was truly rewarding. Not only does the piece speaks for itself, it makes you feel both the good and the bad of what happened on the set, sometimes the ugly as well. It was born out of trust and care, it had nothing but good karma. It was a pure joy to be part of the experience surrounding this film."

On November 18th, James will give a presentation at the Apple Store on North Michigan Avenue in Chicago at their "Made on a Mac" series. The focus of the presentation is the what went into the edit for the behind the scenes video. For more information go to www.apple.com/retail/northmichiganavenue.
